Bienvenue chez nous!
Welcome to our home – Maison Pigalet – an elegant, comfortable and understated private house in a spectacular position.
We are an English family who appreciate art, history and culture, as well as good food and wine – which makes the Luberon a natural second home for us! Maison Pigalet is set in an ideal location which combines the scents and sounds of the Luberon with the peace of being in a secluded position at the end of a quiet lane. The house has extraordinary views of the village of Saignon, which is just a 15 minute stroll from the house.
We hope that you will fall for both the house and the area just as we have done . . .
The house is designed for easy, relaxed living – and one area flows naturally into another.
In the salon, comfortable seating frames the impressive stone fireplace. It opens onto the library area, with well-stocked bookcases and a writing desk. The airy dining area is perfect for relaxed eating and drinking – beyond it, the fully-equipped kitchen makes hosting a pleasure.
The ground floor of the house opens onto two vine-shaded terraces, with views across the garden and the pool to the rocher de Bellevue on the skyline
You can sleep peacefully at Maison Pigalet.
The master bedroom is on the ground floor and opens onto the terrace – perfect for an early-morning swim. The large en-suite has a separate bath and shower. The bedroom has both a ceiling fan and air-conditioning.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms – one a twin, one a twin/double – both with ceiling fans and air-conditioning. These bedrooms share a bathroom with a large walk-in shower and a double basin – there is a separate WC.
Above all, Maison Pigalet is a holiday house. There is a large heated pool, plenty of board games, boules or even croquet and a large garden with areas to tuck yourself away to read or have a kip. The pool house has an outdoor kitchen with hob, fridge, sink and BBQ – as well as a shaded dining area. There are deck chairs and sunloungers which you can move to enjoy the sun or take advantage of the shade. You hardly need to go out . . . but it would be sad to miss the area – it has so much to offer!
